Dear Name(s);

You are in my prayers as we approach the Christmas season.  Christmas is a time that we spend time with family and friends.  We remember what has been most important in our lives.  And, even in the midst of the craziness of Christmas preparations, we long for a moment to spend time with Jesus, who enters this world to spend time with us.

You have a relationship with the Lutheran Church of the Nativity and I hope that you will have time to worship with us this December.  Our Christmas Eve worship times are 5 PM (Children’s Service), 7 PM, and 9 PM.  If you have family in from out of town, please know that all of you are welcome.

This year, we are especially excited about the Christmas season at Nativity as we have called Rev. _______ as our pastor.  S/he begins ministry with us in early December.  Please join us in welcoming her.

It has been a strong year financially at Nativity.  Our Council is confident that revenue will exceed expenses this year and has committed to investing the excess revenue equally to the following initiatives:

·      For Nativity Youth to go to the next National Youth Gathering

·      To Nativity Preschool for scholarships for children who need it with any extra raised used to purchase additional supplies

·      To Nativity for long-term facility care, especially our HVAC units, and

·      To Calvary Food Pantry to feed hungry families in Buncombe and Henderson Counties

I have included an envelope in case you wish to bring an offering with you next time you are able to worship with us.

Have a blessed and Merry Christmas.

In Christ’ peace and presence
