What You Will Learn
Strong camp operations don’t happen by accident. They are built through intentional systems, thoughtful leadership, and a commitment to excellence in every area of ministry. This cohort is designed to help camp leaders strengthen the operational foundation of their ministry while creating experiences that inspire confidence, safety, hospitality, and long-term sustainability.
Site and Facilities
Your camp’s site tells a story long before a camper arrives at your program. You will develop a philosophy for how to approach and care for your facilities in a way that supports ministry, hospitality, and long-term stewardship. You will learn how to engage your community in meaningful ways and establish traditions that strengthen your camp while building ownership and connection through a robust volunteer network. You will learn to think creatively and proactively about budgeting for facility improvements and ongoing maintenance so your camp can thrive for generations to come.
Food Service
Food is one of the most memorable parts of the camp experience. Great meals communicate care, hospitality, and joy while creating opportunities for community and connection. You will develop a philosophy around food service that views meals as a true gift from God rather than simply another operational responsibility. You will learn practical ways to create kid-friendly menus, improve the camper dining experience, and use food as an extension of your programming and ministry.
ACA (American Camp Association) Accreditation
Strong operational systems create safe and trustworthy ministries. This session will help you understand the value of ACA Accreditation and why ACA standards remai the benchmark for excellence in the camping industry. You will learn practical methods for documenting compliance with standards, organizing policies and procedures, and strengthening your camp’s risk management systems. This session is designed to help your ministry operate with greater clarity, consistency, and confidence.
Board Relations
Healthy relationships between full-time staff and board leadership are essential for long-term ministry success. You will gain a clearer understanding of the unique roles and responsibilities of both staff and board members. You will also learn strategies for maintaining healthy communication, building trust, and creating productive partnerships that move your ministry forward. When staff and board leadership work together effectively, camps are positioned to grow, thrive, and expand their impact.

What is your return on investment?
This program is designed to strengthen the operational heartbeat of your ministry. You will leave with practical systems, clearer policies, stronger relationships, and fresh ideas that can immediately improve the camper experience and the effectiveness of your organization. You will discover new ways to engage your constituency in the stewardship and care of your facilities while learning how food service can elevate the overall camp experience for children and families. You will also gain a deeper understanding of ACA accreditation and how operational excellence improves safety, credibility, and trust. Finally, you will strengthen your approach to board relations so your leadership team can work together with greater clarity, communication, and shared vision. These operational improvements create healthier ministries that are positioned for long-term sustainability and growth.
This is a 12-month investment of $1,295.
